hen baby-boomers
growing up in the
Chester/Long Valley area
needed to beat the summer
heat, they could head to Seals
Pond. Owned and operated by
Dick Seals, the attraction located next to his house on
Parker Road, included an authentic 15= gauge steam railroad that chugged along on a
one-mile loop around a swimming pond. There was also a railroad museum, snack bar,
and picnic area.
