The Phantom Car of Bedminster
A
speeding, light green station wagon careened past
a police sergeant in Bedminster, New Jersey,
shortly before midnight on an April night in 1958. The
sergeant engaged in a high speed pursuit but the station
wagon blasted through a red light and then& just disappeared. The description of the car and the license plate
matched a car owned by Howard Menger who, at that
exact moment, was taking a break from a UFO discussion group he led weekly at a private home in nearby
Pluckemin. He said he was alone gathering his thoughts
