By George - What a Year!
It9s been quite a year and as our country celebrated the Semiquincentennial, we embarked on our 25th year of publication! We9ve had a great time looking back and enjoying
some of the best The BRJ has brought to our readers and sharing them throughout our
Silver Jubilee. But we aren9t alone in our revelry! Some of our friends and supporters have
marked milestones of their own this year including Somerset Air, who have been providing air service and flying instruction for 80 years! Gladstone Tavern turned 20 this year,
and we9re commemorating our two decades of collaborations with Chef Tom Carlin with
a look back at a haunting tale of moonshine and mischief!
After a quarter of a century, we9re still privileged to be welcoming new generations of
readers to The BRJ, but we will always have a special place in our hearts for those who
have been with us from the beginning like Califon country music (and country store) legend, Leonard
